The Mighty Hornet Band was recently invited to play at the grand reopening of the New Boston Walmart Supercenter on November 14th at 9 a.m.
The band played the National Anthem, their half-time show titled Black Swan, and a band favorite named “Snakepit” for the crowd outside during the grand reopening. Near the end of the event, the band marched around the inside of the Walmart and played the Hooks’ Fight Song and “Box”.
New Boston’s own mayor, Ron Humphrey, spoke at this event to share some kind words and appreciation for this company. Other brands that were there to support this celebration of Walmart were: Little Debbie, Monster, Trix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Coca Cola, and Pepsi.
This celebration event had a supportive turnout with a large crowd full of cheers, pulling the community closer together in appreciation for this essential part of the New Boston community. The band enjoyed their time volunteering to help support a community, as well as the memories of getting to be part of something special.
