It is a high-stakes week for Hooks athletics as both the softball and baseball programs advance into the later stages of the postseason. Following their Regional Semi-Final victory, the Lady Hornets are set to compete in the Round 4 Regional Finals in a best-of-three series against the Grand Saline Indians. All games for the softball series will be held at Mt. Pleasant High School. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m., followed by Game 2 on Saturday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. If a third game is required to determine the champion, it will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.

Simultaneously, the Hornet Baseball team enters Round 3: Regional Semi-Finals to face the Pottsboro Cardinals. This series will be hosted at Bonham High School, beginning with Game 1 on Thursday, May 14, at 6:00 p.m. Game 2 will follow on Friday, May 15, also at 6:00 p.m. Should the series require a tie-breaker, Game 3 is slated for Saturday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. The community is encouraged to make the trip to support both teams as they fight for a spot in the next round.
