“Tangled” is about a beautiful princess, Rapunzel, who was kidnapped as a baby and locked inside a tall tower, away from everyone. People spent years looking for her but failed.
Mother Gothel, the person who kidnapped Rapunzel, always told her that the outside world was a dangerous place in order to keep her locked up. One day Mother Gothel left the tower, and a man, Flynn Rider, climbed up the tower to escape from people chasing him. Rapunzel hid his satchel and made him take her to see the lanterns that rise every year on her birthday in order to get it back. The people who had been chasing him found Mother Gothel, and she offered them the crown in exchange for Rapunzel so she could get her back.
The next day was Rapunzel’s birthday, the day she would see the lanterns. After seeing them, Flynn Rider was tied to a ship and sent across the water so Rapunzel would think he had betrayed her. Mother Gothel found Rapunzel and took her back to the tower, telling her again how mean the world is. Rapunzel found out that she was the lost princess and confronted Mother Gothel. Flynn had people break him out of jail, and Maximus, the palace horse, rushed him to save Rapunzel. Mother Gothel then chained Flynn so he wouldn’t follow them and prevented Rapunzel from healing him. Just as Rapunzel was about to heal him, he cut her hair so she couldn’t. Her tears then healed Flynn, and they went to the palace to reunite Rapunzel with her parents. They had a week-long celebration for her return, and they lived happily ever after.
