The movie Fall is a suspenseful, well-made film rated PG-13. A short summary: Becky and Dan are a couple who love climbing tall, rocky cliffs, a hobby they soon regret. At the beginning of the film, Becky and Dan are climbing and having fun with their friend Hunter. Hunter is outgoing and upbeat when it comes to adventure. A little later, Dan loses his balance and falls off the cliff, leaving his wife Becky devastated. After the incident, Becky keeps dreaming that Dan survived the fall, even though he did not.
Becky does not have a good relationship with her father; although he tries to be good to her, she lets him down and ignores him. Becky sits at home hoping and waiting for a call from Dan until she gets a call from Hunter, who often cheers her up. Hunter invites Becky to climb the tallest tower, the B67 TV Tower, located in the California desert. As Becky and Hunter climb, the tower is very wobbly and unstable, but they continue. When they reach the top they celebrate, until time catches up to them. They become trapped on the tower for more than 24 hours, until a plane arrives just in time.
Two quotes from viewers are, “Life is short, too short, so you’ve got to use every moment to live,” and “Don’t waste your time on your phone; get out and be in nature.” The movie builds a lot of tension and includes a small emotional twist. I rate this film 7/10; it’s one of my favorites because you never know what will happen next. This is an excellent movie for fans of survival thrillers.
