The+Ultimate+Fair+Experience

People go to the State Fair of Texas to eat the iconic delicious food, and ride the thrilling rides, but for Hooks FFA it was the thrill of competing! Hooks FFA represented well at the State Fair of Texas. On Oct 5, 2023 the Ag-Robotics team competed at their first competition of the season!

The junior team consisting of Korbin Hedges, Madi Sleek, and William Moore placed in the top 10 on Thursday.

The senior team consisting of Mason Carlow, James Moore, Colby Grayson, and Colton Grayson finished in fourth place on Thursday.

These two teams finished extremely well for the first competition of the season and are excited for the next upcoming competitions.

For the livestock exhibitor side of the fair, Mason Carlow showed in the Pan-Am Show, Junior Show, and Showmanship. He placed 1st in class, and was Reserve Division Calf Champion with his youngest “Nelly,” and finished 5th place with his oldest “Sadie.”

Congratulations to each and everyone who competed at the State Fair of Texas!
