The Hornets attended the Regional Track Meet on April 18, 2025. The Hornets extend a huge congratulations to all of their regional qualifiers, especially Rayya Brown, who placed first in shot put and became the regional champion. She is heading to the state track meet in Austin from May 1 to May 3.
“I went out there and tried my hardest, and now I am the regional champion and going to state!” said Varsity Shot Put Thrower Rayya Brown.
Some of the other regional qualifiers included the 4×100 and 4×200 relay teams, consisting of Zoey Greenwood, Anna Beth Black, Katie Arnold, and Asia Coulter. In the discus, Travalyn Aldridge competed alongside DD and CC Johnson. In the 100-meter dash, Adyn McCall qualified. Lastly, in shot put, Rayya Brown and CC Johnson also qualified.
