Darla Jones is a 16-year-old junior at HHS. She joined the Hive during the second semester of her freshman year and did not waste any time getting involved in extracurricular activities. As a busy Hornet, Darla participates in track, softball, JV volleyball, is a member of the varsity cheer squad and three time All-American cheerleader, a member of the student council, a member of Mu Alpha Theta and NHS, junior class vice president, and a member of TAFE (Texas Association Of Future Educators).
Darla’s favorite color is baby blue and her favorite song right now is “Cry” by Benson Boone. After graduation, she wants to be a science teacher and softball coach.
“That’s why I am so much into athletics,” Darla said.
She is also very excited about homecoming and prom. Darla’s quote to live by is, “Even though life sets you back a little you still progress in a way every day.”
