Winter guard to host spring showcase

The HHS winter guard spring showcase will be held today in the high school gym at 6:00 p.m. During the showcase the team will perform their 2024 competition show. In addition to the main show, the performance will feature the guard’s solos and ensemble routines.

The winter guard is made up of 10 members:

Walker Davis, Assistant Editor

Walker is a Junior at Hooks High School. This is his second year as a member of The Buzz, Journalism Staff. He also plays the Sax in the Mighty Hornet Marching Band. In his free time, he enjoys drawing, painting, and making home-made pizzas from scratch. On Sundays, he goes to church to worship Jesus, as well as living the christian-lifestyle daily. Two Bible verses he lives by strictly, are: Leviticus 19:18, “You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.” and Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Sedar Alderson is a Junior at Hooks High School, who participates in band and is now on her second year in journalism. Her favorite activities include watching Drum Corps contests, hanging out with her boyfriend, and playing video games.
