On Sunday, October 15 at 6:00 p.m., HHS Cheerleaders will host the annual Powderpuff game at Hornet Stadium, to raise money for the upcoming year. The games will consist of freshman against juniors at 6:00 pm and then sophomores against seniors at 6:45 pm. The winner of each game will then play each other at 7:30 pm.
This fundraiser is a fairly new event for HHS, last year being the first time it was put on. The event is a great way to help generate money for cheer, so that they can afford things like new equipment, and the charter buses they use for competition. The game is also an amazing way for girls to feel what it is like to play in Hornet Stadium. Many female students and cheerleaders have already signed up for the event (over 60).
“It’s going to be super fun and I am very excited to play with all my friends,” Senior Lauren Murray said.
However, since this is a fundraising event, you do have to pay to get in. For adults, tickets are five dollars and for students, tickets are two dollars. If you can make it, make sure to come support all the young ladies who have signed up to play!
