On the week of September 18-22nd, FCCLA hosted their first ever recruitment week. New members were invited to enjoy fun days during both lunches that week. Current chapter members passed out donut holes, led a FCCLA game period, and handed out Kit-Kats. FCCLA recruitment week finished off with a meeting for returning and new members. That was the first meeting where new members are told about all the activities in FCCLA, such as: dues, information, conference dates, and competition opportunities.
FCCLA chapter advisor, Ms. Pipes, was super excited to host FCCLA’s first ever recruitment week.
“We started out with a setback on recruitment week, and had to push back our activities, but each and every member worked hard this week to promote FCCLA,” Pipes said. “I am super proud of them.”
If you have an interest in joining FCCLA for the 23-24 school year, make sure to attend the interest meeting! New members will get to participate in their first fundraising opportunity by baking cookies for the bake sale FCCLA hosts every Friday. Members hope to see you there!
