In Her Element: Teacher Spotlight, Amber Sartor

The teacher spotlight for Sept. 25 – Sept. 29 is Amber Sartor. Mrs. Sartor has been teaching for nine years, but this is her 7th year at Hooks High School. Kids saying hi and giving her hugs inspire her through the day. Mrs. Sartor has two girls of her own with her husband, who she has been married to for eight years.

A fun fact about Mrs. Sartor is she has an artificial eardrum in her left ear. Her favorite color is any shade of blue, and she wants to go to Alaska to see the northern lights.

Her quote for the year is, “Always trying to live my best life.”- Anonymous.

Mrs. Sartor always has a positive attitude in class and has been helpful to teachers and students alike. Thank you so much, Mrs. Sartor, for your dedication and hard work at Hooks High School!

Alaska Baker is a Senior at Hooks High School. This is her third year working on the Buzz and in Journalism. Alaska participates in FFA, Floral Design, Yearbook, NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, art shows, and Student Council. She is the Editor’ in’ Chief’ for the Buzz, Reporter for Student Council, and the Secretary for National Honor Society. She also enjoys making flower arrangements and art.

Kaitlyn Sellers, Senior Editor

Kaitlyn is currently a senior at Hooks High School. It’s her third year on the buzz, journalism staff. She participates in StuCo, floral design, and works a part-time job. She spends her time hanging with family, spending money, and reading books.
