Jeffrey Cunningham is a junior at HHS and a prominent member in the marching band. Cunningham led the 2022-2023 band as the only tuba player to march.
“No one else was a tuba, so I became one,” Cunningham said.
Since Cunningham was the only tuba player in the marching band, he was rewarded with a song named after him, “Jeffrey Tank.” Cunningham’s favorite part of being in band is getting out of class to play for pep rallies and football games.
Cunningham’s favorite quote is one by Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” He relates that quote to graduating high school and aging out of marching band. After high school, Cunningham plans to enroll in Northeast Community College to pursue a degree in machinery.
