Hornets maintain 3-0 in district

Hooks High School’s varsity football team is 3-0 in district, winning 3 games in a row. They have been working every week, Monday through Thursday, to prepare for the upcoming district games.

“We have been playing with confidence and have a chance at the district championship,” Freshman Varsity Linebacker Ripken Birdwell said.

With 63 receiving yards per game, Junior Boogie Johnson, Varsity Wide Receiver, leads the team. Additionally, Junior Keyshawn Walls, Varsity Running Back, leads the team with 127 rushing yards per game, while Trip Baysinger, Varsity Quarterback, leads the team with 158 passing yards.

“I’m extremely excited for our team to have this type of production going into district. We look to improve those stats every week,” Walls said. 

Friday, October 21st the Hornets take on the Redwater Dragons at the HHS football field, come out and support as they continue to move forward in district!
